Your information matters

Privacy Policy

How personal information is handled when you browse, shop with or contact LYCASES.

1. About this policy

This policy describes the processing of personal information in connection with the LYCASES online store, orders and customer support.

For privacy enquiries or requests, contact support@lycases.com. Our store is hosted on Shopify.

2. Information involved

Depending on how you interact with the store, information involved in providing our services can include:

  • Contact and delivery details: your name, email, billing and shipping addresses, and telephone number when provided.
  • Order information: purchased products, selected phone models, order totals, payment status, delivery details and return requests.
  • Correspondence: messages, order enquiries and photographs you send to explain a product issue.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, and records needed to operate and protect the website.
  • Preferences: privacy choices and any marketing preferences you submit.

Information comes from you, your interaction with the store, and service providers involved in payment and delivery. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed to handle your request.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

  • Contract: processing purchases, arranging delivery, communicating about orders and handling returns.
  • Legal obligations: tax records, consumer rights and lawful requests from authorities.
  • Legitimate interests: proportionate security, fraud prevention and handling disputes, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent: optional marketing or non-essential tracking where consent is required.

Without the details necessary for payment and delivery, we may be unable to fulfil an order.

4. Shopify and service providers

Order fulfilment involves sharing relevant information with Shopify, the payment provider selected at checkout, delivery services and providers supporting store communications. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where necessary for legal obligations or claims.

Providers’ responsibilities depend on their services and applicable law. Shopify may also process information for its own purposes as explained in its Consumer Privacy Policy .

Payment information is handled through the checkout payment services. Never send your full card number, security code or account password to our support email.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The store uses technologies needed for functions such as maintaining a shopping cart, checkout and website security.

Optional analytics or advertising technologies, if enabled, require separate information about their providers, purposes and duration. Where legally required, they must remain inactive until you consent.

Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the store from working. Any available store privacy controls should also be used to manage optional preferences.

Browsing this website or accepting sales terms does not itself constitute consent to optional tracking.

6. Social media and marketing

LYCASES promotes its products through social media. If you visit our social pages or contact us through a platform, that platform processes information under its own privacy terms.

Social media promotion does not automatically authorise the use of your order information for advertising audiences. Any use of advertising pixels, audience matching or similar tools requires the applicable notice and legal basis.

If you subscribe to promotional emails, you can unsubscribe using the link in those messages or by contacting us. Necessary order and service messages are separate from promotional communications.

7. International processing

Shopify and other providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable, transfers must rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as approved contractual clauses. Contact us for details of safeguards relevant to your information.

8. Retention and security

Retention depends on the purpose: fulfilling orders, resolving enquiries, meeting accounting requirements and handling legal claims. Information should not be retained longer than necessary for those purposes.

Appropriate safeguards must protect personal information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised use of your details.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Email support@lycases.com. Identity verification may be necessary. GDPR requests normally receive a response within one month; permitted extensions will be explained.

You may complain to your competent supervisory authority. In Portugal, this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) .

10. Children’s information

If you believe a child has provided personal information without the authorisation required by applicable law, contact us so the situation can be reviewed.

11. Policy updates

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the store or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated where required. A policy update does not replace consent when new consent is legally necessary.
